2010 The 4th APCOD is held in Chennai, India.
2006 The 3rd APCOD is held in Auckland, New Zealand.
2003 The 2nd APCOD is held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
2001 The 1st APCOD is held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. 650 delegates from 28 nations attended this historic event.
1999 The vision of APCOD was presented to Asia Pacific Christian leaders at the 1st International Leaders Consultation on Discipleship in Eastbourne, UK.
1998 The first template for the 1st Asia Pacific Consultation On Discipleship [APCOD] was initiated and dates fixed for July 25-28, 2001. Establishing a Hebraic-Christian worldview for Christian thinking and living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ was central to the APCOD model.
1997 The APCOD vision to gather Christian leaders from the Asia Pacific region to address the urgency for authentic Kingdom disciple-makers walking after the man Jesus was further crystallized following a challenge by Dr John Haggai at the Haggai Institute, Maui, Hawaii. ‘Attempt something so great for God that it is doomed to fail unless God be in it!’ was the challenge from Dr Haggai. The vision also incorporated the future establishment of an Institute of Hebraic-Christian Studies in the Asia-Pacific region.
1996 A restoration of the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith became the core mission of Summer Fruit Ministries at the Shavuot Festival in May in Jerusalem. The theme of the Festival of Shavuot was ‘If I Forget Thee O Jerusalem- Psalm 137:5’ and this began the birth of the APCOD vision to regain a fresh understanding of our Hebrew Lord Jesus of Nazareth and the Christ (Messiah) of our faith.
1995 APCOD Founder and Consultation Director Dr Charles Lee launched the birth of Summer Fruit Ministries. Amos 8:1 becomes the focused vision towards the call to bear fruit to God. Amos 8: 9-11 becomes the central mission to take heed of the prophetic warning of a coming ‘…famine of hearing the words of the LORD’.

The APCOD Model

At the epicentre of the APCOD model is the kingdom disciple-maker. Equipped with the 3-R Hebraic-Christian principles of biblical discipleship envisioned in each consultation, each disciple-maker in turn will influence the building of disciple-making churches through the process of intentional disciple-making that will in turn impact the community within their own sphere of influence and bring about life-changing societal transformation.

The 3 R’s in the Consultation model:

To Recover a fresh passion for hearing the Word of the Lord and seek personal transformation in Christ.
[Objective 1: Living for the right reasons for the right person in the right way - Relational Spirituality]

To Restore a renewed understanding of the Hebraic teachings of Jesus and His Apostles – restoring the Hebraic foundations of the Christian faith.
[Objective 2: Developing a Hebraic-Christian Worldview to ALL of life lived under the Lordship of Christ - Holistic Spirituality] and,

To Renew a focused urgency for intentional disciple-making, strategically engaging the world we live in through Kingdom Disciple-Makers.
[Objective 3: Societal Transformation through Disciple-Making Churches – Transformational Spirituality]
